We are a lovely little organic store & deli with a cosy Airbnb apartment overhead. We have some fantastic suppliers including Tartine & LeLevain Bakeries, Imbibe Coffee, Beechlawn & Millhouse Organic Farms & Mossfield Dairy. Our business is mainly grocery, along with take-away coffees, cakes & lunches.
We are looking for somone really friendly, creative and passionate about organic, sustainability and traditional methods of improving digestion and preservation of food i.e. fermentation and pickling. We don't necessarily need a chef, but rather a passionate foodie who loves to cook with quality ingredients and minimise waste.
Our goal, and what we are currently working towards is growing our own veg and using more foraged wild plants. As such, we would love to take on someone who will take real ownership of the kitchen, ability to work both as part of a very small team and on own initiative is important. We would love to find someone who is really creative with soups, stews, sandwiches and cakes using organic ingredients and mainly vegetarian options. A keen interest in making jams, chutneys and ferments would be great too.
