At byRuby we make best quality frozen meals which are designed to be cooked from frozen. We deliver next day nationwide through our website. Our kitchen is based in Acton and we currently wholesale at Finns of Chelsea and a few other independent food shops. Our business is growing and there is an opening for a bright and enthusiastic Kitchen Manager.
The best ingredients are delivered from the markets each day and we cook and freeze our meals on the day they are made locking in the freshness, flavour & nutrients. Our recipes are set in stone and need to be worked to very accurately but we are always developing new ideas for our offering. For the right person, this is an exciting opportunity to ‘get in early’ and help us build the brand helping with recipe development and new ideas as well as running the kitchen on a day to day basis under Ruby (co-founder and chef extraordinaire). We are looking to build our wholesale business so the kitchen will be getting busier by the day!
We have a wide variety of meals ranging from comforting family favourites to vegan, gluten & dairy free options, we offer meal plans to run alongside workout programs and a selection of low calorie meals. Our meals are popular with new mothers, busy professionals, families with lots of mouths to feed and those that want to eat well without compromising on quality when they don’t have the time to cook.
The person we are looking for must have a LOVE of food and be willing to work hard in a small team. The role will be predominantly cooking and managing a kitchen assistant, but as a small business we bounce ideas off each other all the time, we are evolving and have lots of new ideas for the future.

Ideally we need around 2 years experience post cookery school. Good knife skills and organisational accumen are key.
