Job Summary: This is an exciting new adventure for the town of Tullamore.
The location will offer an easy, friendly, family orientated place to work, play, eat and shop for the best of what Offaly and its environs have to offer! It is a new venture that will meet the fast growing population of Vegan and Vegetarian as well as your usual carnivore pallet.
The job will entail being part of a super team that are friendly and enthusiastic about the products and the service.
The staff will be flexible and dedicated to the comfort and the best interests of the customer.
All staff will be trained to a high standard.
Reporting to: The Manager of the business and/or the duty manager.
Working Conditions: The hours of the business will be from 9am to 6pm six days per week and 11am to 6pm on Sundays. This position is for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but occasional flexibility will be required ( and occasional cover will be required for annual leave etc.) and accomodated too.
Food preparation and service at front counter
Maintaining high standard of quality of service
Ensure full HACCP Compliance & maintain best in practice standards in heath & hygiene
Participate in weekend hand over on Friday with Head Chef and assist with preparation for weekend ahead
Be responisble for all aspects of running the kitchen over the weekend
Participate in all aspects of the business to ensure a good experience for the customer and for yourself as a valued staff member.
Equipment to be used:
Food Preparation Cutlery
Delph, cutlery etc.
Training in all aspects of equipment will be provided on site.
Qualifications: Chef/Cook qualification desirable but not essential.
All candidates applying who are from outside the EU must have authentic working documents that indicate they are allowed to work in Ireland.
Experience: Kitchen Experience is required at Commis/Sous Level
Training: Training will be provided to successful candidates where necessary
Skills: Successful candidates are expected to have the capacity to work as part of a team.
Successful candidates will be expected to adapt to change in a busy environment and respond to the requirements of the job on the day.
Successful candidates will be expected to be flexible in their availability especially during busy periods and changing seasons.
Responsibilities: Successful candidates will be responsible for the appearance of the premises and will ensure that it is clan and tidy at all times and that the best of service and consideration is given to all customers at all times.
Emotional Characteristics: Successful candidates will be expected to work under some pressure on busy occasions on the premises.
Successful candidates must be able to work with a team and delegate efficiently
Sensory Demands: All successful candidates will be expected to meet the physical demands of the job. The physical task of being able to stand for periods of time, walking around the premises ensuring that the areas are clean and hazard free.
