The Exchange is looking for a full and part-time chef to build on the successful launch of a new café and bar in Erith, started by chef Marina Power who trained and taught at the Ballymaloe cookery school in Ireland. The Bookstore provides a daytime and evening food and drink offer with a zero-waste ethos using local and seasonal produce cooked fresh on site each day, and forms a core part of The Exchange – an organisation that supports creativity and community.
These two new chefs will build on the original ethos developing and delivering new seasonal menus, and, working with the Café Manager and Exchange Directors, to create an exciting programme of Bookstore events and projects. This includes supporting the creation of a Kitchen Garden which will be used by the café and by the community for learning activities.
Salary: £25-30K, depending on experience
