Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Operations Management Couple looking to help run a boutique hotel on the West Coast of Grenada 45 minutes from the capital St. George’s.Mount Edgecombe has 4 rooms in the traditional Plantation House dating back to 1763 and 4 Nutmeg Rooms (with 3 additional rooms being built) set in 28 acres of land growing cocoa and a diverse variety of fruits.  With enviable panoramic views of the shimmering Caribbean Sea and cool sea breezes, our boutique hotel is a perfect all year round destination. 

As the successful candidate(s) you will have a genuine passion for exceptional customer service and a pro-active approach to team management to achieve high levels of performance and satisfaction, and the ability to plan and deliver successful functions.  You will also ensure full compliance of hotel operating controls and standards, and will source materials and supplies needed for day to day operations.

The role will be responsible for planning, organising and coordinating management activities of the operations (reception, housekeeping, restaurant, maintenance and plantation estate) in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Director of Operations.

Qualifications Requested Qualifications • Practical chef experience in a gastropub setting/ fresh food concept with ability to cook with fresh produce from the estate • Be passionate about a high level of customer service in a small hotel setting with a hands-on attitude • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate team to achieve high level of performance and exceed targets • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, plan work schedules, and meet deadlines • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred but not essential • Demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills • Highly responsible and reliable • Ability to work well under pressure and cohesively as part of a team • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
