OHK (O’Herlihys Kinsale) is entering its third year in business in the busy town of Kinsale. Already OHK has gathered a strong local customer base and attracts pilgrims from further afield thanks to a very complimentary review in the Irish Examiner by Joe McNamee and the teams dedicated Instagram account.
Run by sisters Carol and Sarah O’Brien the café’s menu and ethos is driven by the excellent food and market culture of Cork county. Having worked for many years with The Real Olive Company and Toonsbridge and at markets in Dublin and west Cork the sisters have devised a clever and simple menu showcasing the best of local fare.
The atmosphere of the café is unique and the sisters are the sixth generation running the space, it was previously a pub and the interior has been kept relatively intact. This is a lovely opportunity for a passionate cook who is willing to create and collaborate on the weekday menu and have a desire to think and learn plant based and vegetarian approaches while still happy to cook with well sourced meats and charcuterie.
We have a very happy team at OHK and the prospective weekday cook will work in tandem with our weekend/brunch kitchen team.
The role is MONDAY TO THURSDAY 7am-4pm.
This is currently an hourly paid role and rate can be negotiated.
The current weekday menu is available upon request
Prospective candidates should apply via email email@example.com
