Coolaney Community Café Co-operative is seeking expressions of interest from people keen to take on the role of chef-manager in Café Fia. It will open in Spring 2020.
Café Fia is Connacht's first full-time community café and takes its name from the deer found in Ox Mountains around Coolaney.
Volunteers from the co-op have run a successful pop-up phase, created strong branding and now Café Fia is preparing to open on a full-time basis.
A landmark building, designed by Welsh architect James Griffiths, is currently under construction in this award-winning village in the heart of Co. Sligo.
This café will serve the 1,000 local residents as well as visitors to the National Mountain Biking Centre adjacent to Coolaney.
They are looking for a person with a passion for serving the community through social enterprise, a warm personality and the culinary skills to produce excellent food from the best of local ingredients.
They offer a brand new, state-of-the-art-café, a supportive and skilled management committee and ready customer base for a chef-café manager seeking to make their name through this innovative project.
