We are looking to employ a chef for the coming season onboard the sailing yacht Mariette of 1915.
Mariette is a 40m classic schooner used by the owner for a mixture of cruising and racing and operates around the Mediteranean, northen Europe and Caribbean seas.
The chef is solely responsible for organising the galley and provisioning. Cooking for 80% of the time is for the eight permanent crew but the important part of the job is cooking for the owner and guests – at which point the quality of food steps up several gears.
Due to the crew dynamics and sleeping arrangements the job is likely to go a younger, male chef holding a EU passport. Professional kitchen experience is a plus, prior sailing experience is not necessary but the candidate should be fit, enjoy the water and outdoor pursuits and must have a "can do" attitude.
Our season will start in early April so we will employ the new chef in March.
