Our business reopens early June and we would like to add some part time positions to our team. We are recruiting for a new interesting role of Cook, working alongside William (chef/owner). Longueville House is an award winning Country House with 12 guest bedrooms and restaurant offering simple but superb dining.                                                

We reopen with a new Menu Style which is deliciously different, offering a four course, no-choice menu cooked by William. The  menu (changes daily) allows William focus energy on limited but premium offerings and concentrate on what he does best, cooking exquisite food.  Everything on the plate is fresh and in season, from the walled kitchen garden, farm, bee hives and hedgerows on the estate. Meats, fish, cheeses, eggs are sourced from local artisan butchers and farms so the quality of ingredients is the very best that we can offer on any given day. William also oversees the gardens and farm at Longueville House. He is passionate about using the raw materials from the estate which celebrates the wonderful food heritage of his home.

The restaurant caters to resident guests only and some small group events. All food is prepared/ cooked from scratch, ever the farm to fork policy at Longueville long before it becae trendy.

On-site there is a 3 acre walled kitchen garden supplying most of the vegetables. There is also a 32 acre apple orchard from which two artisan ciders and an apple brandy are made and sold nationally and internationally.

William requires a Wingman/Wingwoman to help with the day to day running of the kitchen. Job includes food preparation for dinner. Baking for afternoon teas/ desserts. Preparing picnics. Batch cooking. At night assisting William cook & serve food to restaurant patrons.

Each evening at 7.30pm dinner is served to all guests same time. Everyone enjoys the same food and special dietary requirements catered to with notice.

 Ideal applicant to have an interest & appreciation for gardening, cooking, baking, the country way of life.

Hours of work 1pm to 9.30pm, Tuesday - Saturday.

Position does not offer staff accommodation.


Qualifications Requested A basic culinary certificate course with Two years minimum work experience in cooking. Ideally in similar style operation/property.
