Job Details: We are seeking to recruit a Development Manager for the first national Centre for Food Culture, which will be located in the Boyne Valley. The centre will focus on preserving and celebrating our food culture, past, present and future. It will facilitate education, discussion, enterprise and advocacy of our food culture to enhance peoples’ relationship with food, connect them to the source of their food and the people who produce it. The position of Development Manager will be fundamental to realising this ambition. The successful applicant will work with stakeholders to establish the Food Centre structure and brand, defining the project requirements and objectives and ensuring that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for dynamic individuals with excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and project management skills, with strong knowledge/experience of the food sector.

Qualifications:
• Excellent stakeholder management, networking, client-focus and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent leadership skills; dynamic and highly effective with a demonstrated record of achievement, particularly in complex environments balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
• Excellent project management and organisation skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills and proficient in the use of up-to-date communication technology
• High levels of motivation displaying vision and enthusiasm.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes in a timely manner.
• Have an ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders;
• Goal focused and confident in measuring performance against targets.
• Strong knowledge/experience of the food sector, with a particular emphasis on the needs of artisanal food producers.
• Full clean drivers licence.

Salary: Salary scale: €55,022 - €71,529 per annum (EL 01/23) (analogous to Grade VII). Payment of increments is dependent on satisfactory performance. Entry point of this scale will be determined in accordance with Circulars issued by the by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
