The successful applicant will work under our head chef, Dervilla O'Flynn and her team who have varied experience from training under Mrs Allen, high quality restaurant, private catering and hotel experience, completerd the 12 week certfiicate course or similiar in catering college.

We serve hotel guests and non residents in the restaurant. The menu changes daily to keep it interesting for guests staying more than 1 night. It is very busy throughout the year between the restaurant and our grain store with weddings and some corporate events. 

We are a tight knit kitchen team who strive to cook the best we can. We all love food ourselves. Taste, balance & look in that order are our priorities when writing the menu. 

The pastry section starts at 6.30 with the chefs making all the breads, breakfast items, lunch desserts and all the dessert trolley items for the evening menu. The breakfast chef takes care of breakfast and lunch. The afternoon chefs come in at 1 and cook for the evening diners. 

We work closely with our gardener in our vegetable garden who harvest for us every day, buy our meats & whole fish locally and daily. 

Qualifications Requested
Ballymaloe 12 Week certificate course or/and 1-2 years industry cooking experience in a high end ingredient led environment
