Picks Barn Café in Rutland opened its doors in June 2023 and is already popular with locals, cyclists and walkers. We aim to serve seasonal food, lovingly prepared and sourced locally wherever possible.  We have a very good reputation for our cakes, so if you are a great baker, this would be a bonus.  You will need to  have some experience, be calm under pressure and able to lead and inspire a small, but lovely café team.  You will also work closely with us, the owners, who will provide considerable support. 

We are looking for an excellent cook, who is up for a challenge and keen to make the most of a great opportunity.  Ballymaloe trained would be wonderful!

We are open daily from 9am until 4pm, but there is also scope for pop up suppers and private evening events in future.  We also have a mezzanine floor, which is a great venue for small seminars, parties, training sessions and exhibitions.

Our café is situated on the edge of a beautiful village at the heart of the Lyndon Estate, very close to Rutland Water. 

A lovely and very comfortable fully furnished flat at the top of our house with amazing views is available with the job.
