Location: Ballymaloe Cookery School, Shanagarry, Co. Cork
Job Type: Full-Time –Monday to Friday (Days)/Part-time can be considered.

The Ballymaloe Cookery School is internationally renowned, set on its own organic farm and gardens and welcomes students from home and abroad, to learn about the journey from soil to plate.  We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Cookery Teacher to join our team and help inspire the next generation of home cooks, chefs, and food enthusiasts.

 

What you’ll do on a day-to-day basis

  • Support and guide students through hands-on-practical cookery sessions

Demonstrate techniques and encourage confidence in the kitchen

Help prepare ingredients and equipment

Assist with demonstrations, private courses and special events

Work closely with a dynamic, fast-moving kitchen team to maintain exceptional standards across all teaching and production areas

Create a welcoming and supportive environment for students and guests

Ensure Kitchens are ready for the next days teaching.

 

What we are looking for

  • Experience in professional kitchens, hospitality, or food production
  • A passion for high quality food, seasonal ingredients and sustainable cooking
  • Someone who may have completed our 12 Week Certificate Course
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to lead by example and embrace challenge
  • Teaching or mentoring experience is welcome, but not essential
  •
