Chef required for country house kitchen. The successful candidate will be required to assist the Head Chef and Sous with preparing dishes, from scratch, for our wedding guests.

The ideal candidate must be passionate about food and have a strong local & seasonal food ethos.  Experience a bonus, attitude & ethos essential!

We grow produce on site and follow a Ballymaloe LOAF (Local, organic, animal welfare, ethically sourced) approach to our menus and are looking for a person who will enjoy this type of food.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing dishes alongside Head and Sous Chefs and preparing ingredients for service.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a good work ethic that can work as part of a team but also carry out tasks independently.  Ideally we would love to recruit a past student of the 12 week course and our Head chef and another member of our team have completed the course.

Hourly Rate €13 to €16 per hour depending on experience

Location: Rural Wexford, own transport is required
