The owners also operate an organic beef and sheep farm  and kitchen garden, supplying top-quality produce to some of London’s best restaurants. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this revitalised pub in a beautiful part of the world.

WHAT’S THE JOB?
As Sous Chef, you will support the talented Head Chef, who has experience in some of London’s finest restaurants. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day kitchen operations, training and developing the team, and delivering an enticing, sustainability-focused menu. This role is perfect for a Sous Chef passionate about working with exceptional produce and creating seasonal dishes. The location offers endless opportunities, including the potential to develop an adjacent building into a new bakery.
A fully furnished two-bed flat is provided, with rent and all utilities covered. Given the rural setting, a driving licence is necessary.

Situated in South Shropshire, the pub offers an unparalleled opportunity to work and live in one of the UK’s most picturesque regions. The Shropshire countryside is renowned for its rolling hills, charming market towns, and rich history. From the breath-taking views of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the tranquil waters of the River Severn, every day promises a new adventure. By joining the team, you’ll not only advance your career but also become part of a vibrant community that values sustainability, heritage, and the great outdoors. The location offers easy access to a variety of outdoor activities, local produce markets, and historical landmarks, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching lifestyle.

Don’t miss this chance to combine your professional aspirations with the idyllic charm of Shropshire.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
This is a full-time role, with a 45-hour workweek. The pub is open for lunch Monday to Sunday and for dinner on Friday and Saturday. This means you’ll primarily work daytime hours, typically from Wednesday to Sunday, during our busier periods.
